Edellisestä postauksesta on taas jo vähän aikaa, enkä ole lähiaikoina ehtinyt digitalisoimaan mitään uutta, mutta suunnitelmia jatkoksi on kuitenkin paljon. Ajattelin hommata uuden skannerin , joka pystyisi skannaileen sivuja automaattisesti niin, että saisin uutta teksti-muotoista tavaraa nettiin mahdollisemman nopeaan tahtiin. Aloitimme matkamme kohti Ugandaa perjantaina 1.3. Alkuviikon olimme Teemun kanssa vielä metsäläeirillä Vekaranjärvellä, joten perjantai-aamuna fiilikset olivat enemmän kuin hyvät. Lento lähti puolen päivän aikaan Helsingistä. Matkaseurueeseen kuuluu Juuso, Teemu, Aapo Halonen, Juho Wirpi ja Hanna Möykkynen. Lensimme Istanbulin kautta kohti Entebbeä, Ugandan päälentokenttää.Reilun 15 tunnin matkustamisen jälkeen pääsimme Entebbeen, jossa meille varattu kyyti piti odottaa...

Kattilakosken Ala-aalto ja Kelokurkkio

Aikaisin torstaiaamuna lähdimme ajelemaan asuntovaunu perässä kohti Kattilakoskea. Vedenkorkeusennusteet näyttivät että Kattilakosken ala-aallon pitäisi toimia. 12 tunnin ajomatkan jälkeen pääsimme perille ja ehdin vielä pari kertaa melomaan. Ekan setin meloin Vaaralan veljesten Tuomaksen ja Juhon, sekä Nyrhilän Ollin kanssa. Toisen setin vielä myöhään Jussi Tanskasen kanssa. Ala-aalto tosiaan oli parhaimmillaan! HäjyRodeo laskukilpailu

Äitienpäivänä 12.5. oli vuorossa HäjyRodeon laskukilpailu Kauhavan Jylhänkoskella. Kisarata alkoi padon alapuolelta, koska vesimäärä ei riittänyt padon laskemiseen. Vettä Kauhavanjoessa virtasi yhdeksän kuutiota sekunnissa, joka riitti kuitenkin hyvin luiskan laskemiseen. Noin 300 katsojan eteen uskaltautui yhdeksän melojaa, joista moni laski kosken ensimmäistä kertaa. Laskulinja oli vapaasti valittavissa, eikä kiertopoijuja ollut vajaan puolen minuutin radalla. Äitienpäiväsurffit neitikoskella

Äitienpäivän kunniaksi sain kerrankin kuvaajan rannalle. Aallossa sain kuitenkin meloa yksin, vaikka aurinkoinen ja lämmin sää oli mitä parhain melonnalle. Neitikoski oli hyvässä kunnossa ja ilmavia voltteja oli  helppo tehdä. Vesimittarin numero 8 oli juuri ja juuri kokonaan veden alla. Tämän jälkeen tuli viiden päivän melontatauko työkiireiden vuoksi. Tänään kävin taas reilusti yli kahdenkymmenen asteen lämmössä neidillä melomassa. Vesi oli noussut vain noin sentin...

I've been so busy with practically everything during the past year and also concentrating on the fix-ups in the country house so much I tend to forget my actual home in the city is pretty damn nice too.
