Matkailua Kaakkois-Aasiassa -

The Journey gets an interestning start My folks gave me a ride to Tampere airport and there I met my travel mates Juuso and Pekka. We also met a new guy, Ilari (also from Tampere University of Technology.. just like the rest of us). Together we flew to Helsinki-Vantaa airport. Then the most amazing thing happened. We were waiting for the Helsinki-Bangkok flight as some airport staff member came to us and asked: "Would you like to earn some money? All you have to do is just not to go to this...

Hello People! A lot has happened again since I wrote here last time. Here's a short post from me. The most exciting part in the end of this chapter. First I went to Sepang, Kuala Lumpur, to see the formula 1 racing. It was a nice experience but maybe something I don't wanna experience again. Whole day was pretty much just waiting. Waiting for the taxi, airplane, busses, beginning of the race and so on. It was really hot day and the formulas were loud as he*l. But they went really fast! :) Few...

Teinpä sukat, Jaywalkerit, jo toisen kerran. Malli sopii hyvin itseraidoittuville langoille, tästäkin olisi tullut tylsää tasaraitaa.   Made some socks, Jaywalkers, the second pair I've made. I think this pattern suits self-striping yarns very well, for this would have been quite boring with its boring stripes.  - - Lanka oli Supersocken jotain, ostettu Karnaluksista elokuussa. Sukat menivät äidille ja hän valitsi itse langankin. En nyt voi väittää kauheasti tästä...

Feel Valencia -

My friend Juha came from Finland to see me and wanted to try what it's like to travel without tour guides and tourist buses. So I took some time off from my university classes and we jumped on a bus and headed to the capital of Spain. Madrid struck us with the same astonishment I got the last time I was there. Madrid is situated in over 600 meters from the sea level like most of the central Spain. Is that what gives this city the feel of an anthill..? In the museum of modern art of Reina Sofia...

I still can't understand what's wrong with those urls down there... Well, I'm now exactly 2 and half hours away of changing family. I feel so happy that I could... I could... well, I could do something really cool. Now I am wasting my time in Cybac (internet cafe). If I only had known this place before (well, I was supposed to go here with Graham, but never actually got inside...). Hell of a cool place. Totally different from those open, boring and terrible cafes we have in Helsinki. I like it...

Yes, that's right. I came back "home". I flew from Kuching (Sarawak, Borneo) back to Penang on Tuesday May 3rd. I spent one week in Kuching. I ate a lot of Roti Canai and Roti Telur (kind of bread with curry sauce, excellent taste). Then I visited a few natural parks: Kubah and Semenggoh. In Kubah I traveled in a jungle just by myself. I was alone there and followed a path that finally took me to a very nice waterfall. I bathed there and washed away all the spider nets that I had taken in the...

From time to time, there's a freak appearing to the scene of my escort sex-life. And I totally love them. Coz they pay good money, and coz they're something different, something new, something other than the bang-bang-thank-you-ma'am. Actually, exactly for these freaks I started my escort life, long time ago when it wasn't just about money and next dose. So, there's this guy I've met like an year ago, The Doctor. He's 30-something, not very good looking but not ugly either, he just doesn't have...

This tweet from Ben Cousins over at ngmoco (looking forward to The Drowning !) got me thinking: The movie business is essentially F2P, with the free players on The Pirate Bay and the whales buying these empireonline.com/features/ludic… — Ben Cousins (@BenjaminCousins) February 27, 2013 In a response, I said that's true if you consider the entirety of the movie industry (where some people buy everything they watch, while some pirate it - and yet another group pirates the movies and buys a...

It's been too pretty weather for blogging, that's why I've pushed this post towards the future and spent my time rather on the beach than with the laptop (very ungoth, I know). However perhaps it's time to open you my journey shortly and tell you how everything happened this year. And yes I do had  a lot of blast.  Again it was time to travel to Leipzig into that city which is situated in Eastern Germany and starts to be quite familiar to me. After waiting for many months it was a high time...

W-w-w-wabbits ahead! -

My life has had its ups and downs, and as the waves have been quite shallow, I am not able to see which day could be singled out to be the best day of my life. Nothing is peeking above the others and this makes me draw a conclusion, that the best day of my life is still ahead of me. When I now thought about the moments that have made some days special, those are almost always something that have happened in a very intensively and made the day awesome - most of these being the moments when I've...

My So Called Life -

Last time I wrote here I had 3 weeks of summer break left. Now I have 3 days! :D I was supposed to write here earlier, but.. Better late than never. So, about the weekend I told you about in the previous post. I went to the FFfin-meeting and because the weather was pretty nice, warm but bit cloudy and windy, we went to beach. We had pretty fun there. AND after many many many years, I went to swim!!! It was nice :) We were there for few hours and then I headed home and others headed to...

Welcome to the REAL world -

This question hit so close I just had to answer :D Okay, so I was on an inter rail trip with my bf and friend. We had been traveling for the whole day on our way from Nice to Zürich, and we arrived in Zürich around 8pm. We had one hour left to find a Seebuch camping site, and failed to do so, so we had no place to stay for the night. We didn't want to pay for a hotel/hostel so we decided to stay out for the night (we had done that once before on our trip so it wasn't anything too new). First...

so we had a nice trip to Vietnam. Ho Chi Minh City and Mui Ne. relaxing and fun - one of the best holidays possibly. i enjoyed films and documentaries on the long flights so that was pretty good too. on the way back Swiss/BA lost our bag though, a biiiit of a bummer. they are still searching for it. obviously it doesnt hold the most valuable things ever, but now that ive looked into what airlines and insurance companies compensate for lost luggage... im annoyed. even though its likely they will...

this may the 3rd or 4th time im writing it, but bloody hell how i enjoy the quick home deliveries in London. Turkish online shops also usually offered fairly fast and free delivery - but its easy in a country with cheap labour. the online market was otherwise not as developed as here though, and so we did much less shopping like that. and to be fair, the delivery speed and quality of tracking and other options are way better here. there was a cool graffiti area near Waterloo station. i looked...

Konserttisarja jatkuu.

Buying travel insurance before a holiday has become important. One of the most important things to plan before travelling is a comprehensive travel insurance policy to cover your trip. However, there are some people who remain unaware of the importance of having a travelling insurance policy in place while abroad and for many, insurance policy is the least important task to consider before departure. Some of the factors that highlight the importance of having being insured during travel are...

We took a pleasant Airasia flight from Phuket to KL and headed again to our accomodation in China town inn. Double room for 20euros. It was already my third time in Kuala Lumpur and Malaysia so I was getting a little bit more familiar with places. Getting to Genting highlands from KL is really easy. There are shuttle buses...

Days are getting shorter, shadows are growing longer. It's a great time to burn candles and listen to hymns. Listening to hymns is the 2nd best thing to do since I didn't get the tickets for the fucking Nick Cave concert. Hymns yeah, you say. But great hymns are really demon blasting. I saw Ville Leinonen playing hymns in the Viikki church. Raised up in a pentagostal family with 'lestadiolainen' influences my heart is forever tuned for slavic melancholy melodies with sad sad lyrics. Ville...

(Subject: Travel stories III: Edinburgh continued (some light reading for you for the rainy days...)) X)It always rains. I read in the papers that this June was the rainiest here for decades - but I can't really say I was surprised; I seem to bring the rain with me. The October I lived here was also the wettest in Scotland for more than 30 years... On the other hand, during the twelve months I lived here, I also experienced the hottest day in the UK ever since the records began. Anyway, it...
