Browsing through some old photos. This is how our daughter's room looked like couple of years ago. Kävin läpi vanhoja kuvia ja tältä meidän tytön huone näytti pari vuotta sitten. Ugly dolls in a row. Still have them boxed somewhere, but not in her room anymore... Because teen years... ;-) Ugly dollsit rivissä. Nämä ovat vieläkin tallessa jossakin, vaan eivät enää hänen huoneessaan... Koska teini... ;-) Lots of decorative pillows back then. And now too, but totally different...

Let's buffet like it's 1999!  Diets weren't meant to last forever.  I had a very good holiday meal here.  My kind of New Year's fireworks?  Blowtorch flames on motoyaki sauce. Chef Will Lew flaming the motoyaki sauce atop the customized egg and toast. I found this Sunday brunch while I was looking for a buffet to lavishly celebrate the New Year with a feast and it fit the bill for me, even though it is a day early and in the afternoon.  I normally don't get to do Sunday brunch because of...

THAI DEMOCRACY -

So week has passed without any posts. Why? Nothing to post. We haven't done anything. Saturday we went out and had a blast, then hangover. Then week went with food poisoning and happy stuff like that. Because of that, I've played insane amounts of poker, more than 10.000 hands this week alone. Too bad the games haven't been going too well, but still winning luckily. I've had one of the most insane shitty runs of poker I've had so far this week, and that has caused me to play bad also. But...

I’m just old enough that it feels difficult for me to publish photos of our little baby girl in the Internet: What if she does not like it when she gets older? Are these photos really good enough (for me), […]

"Miss Luna Crescent, how do you think we can help you if you won't co-operate? If you won't tell us voluntarily, we have to use force. And it would be a shame to ruin such a beautiful face." The detective stared at the beauty before him. She had been arrested some days before for suspicion of smuggling. She was offered a deal: If she'd tell the police of the operations, she'd walk out free and innocent. But they hadn't had much luck, she hadn't said a word since her arrest. To understand how...

My So Called Life -

So, I said in one post that I'm gonna forget LJ and that kind of stuff.. Well.. I got more paid time like 5 minutes ago! :D Facebook and Twitter status updates aren't so good places to tell all my feelings because of limited space. So decided to give LJ new chance. So lets continue a bit what happened in Kuopio after the family reunion. Actually, nothing big happened. We just were. And later on the evening we went to fire place to grill some sausages. I ate only one though. But there was me...

I'm back at my parents' house, we moved my stuff from Turku last Friday with relative ease. I was very unsurprisingly late on my packing, but unfreezing the fridge was probably the most time consuming part of the whole day. I'd been meaning to do it for a while now but it just somehow got always put off to a later date... Oh well. I had a nice get together with a couple friends on Wednesday, funny though that it was actually the first time I invited people over like that. With 5 people it was...

My So Called Life -

Last time I wrote here I had 3 weeks of summer break left. Now I have 3 days! :D I was supposed to write here earlier, but.. Better late than never. So, about the weekend I told you about in the previous post. I went to the FFfin-meeting and because the weather was pretty nice, warm but bit cloudy and windy, we went to beach. We had pretty fun there. AND after many many many years, I went to swim!!! It was nice :) We were there for few hours and then I headed home and others headed to...

We finally have a living room! Yes, there has always been a living room downstairs , but that room still has boxes and extra furniture from our  former city flat  everywhere, that have been waiting for the renovation to progress so they can be taken into use and the downstairs one glorious day be emptied up of extras. A day which is very much closer now than a few months ago. (Insert big choir underneath my window singing Hallelujah! the Bach way here.)  We had basically been hanging out in...

The captain stood studying it through the periscope. If the Geiger counter was correct no life could exist there for more than a few days, and yet it all looked so normal in the spring sunlight that he felt there must be people there. There did not seem to be glass broken in the window, even, save for a pane here and there. He turned from the periscope. "Left ten, seven knots," he said. "We'll close the shore here, and lie off the jetty, and hail for a while." - Nevil Shute: On the Beach...

I've been feeling for a while now that I could begin writing about books again, so what better way to start than to comment on the best reads of 2014. I'm not going to do any numbered listing, just comment on the most memorable reads with some silly categories. Best YA Janni Lee Simner's Bones of Faerie (reread) and Faerie Winter Set in a postacopalyptic world where a war between humans and faerie damaged both worlds, and left wild magic among humans. A young girl set out to find her mother...

Lankojen muodonmuutoksia -

Täällä satoi eilen lunta vaakasuoraan. Parin pihalla vietetyn minuutin jälkeen huomasi olevansa läpimärkä. Huhtikuun puoliväli on jo ylitetty, olisin enemmän kuin valmis siirtymään kesäkauteen. Polkupyöräni Keijo lienee samaa mieltä. Haaveilen jämälankavuoren madaltumisesta valloittamiskelpoiseksi, joten viime aikojen neuleilla on ollut takana joko edellinen elämä tai kuiva oleskelu milloin milläkin vintillä kerämuodossa. Pienistä nöttösistä saa kätevästi...

Lust, sex and sodomy -

This new acquaintance that I mentioned in my previous has become a regular visitor. If she's not working in the evening, she's at my place sucking my cock. I think she's spent more nights at my place than at home. So far there has been no talk about dating or anything of the like. She's a nice girl, but way too shy for me to start a relationship with her. She's not shy in bed, but in social situations and I hate that. I want a talkative and extrovert girl. Also, she doesn't do sports, which...

February was a much slower reading month than January, mostly because the book I read or was reading didn't grab me that much, or in one case I'm still slowly reading and savouring a book that I'll probably finish this month. 16. A small group sets to investigate this mystery and to find one woman's missing sister. During their investigation, they find an...

The world's smartest pommidget talks Jewish treehouses, terrible tattoos and putting toddlers in the freezer On the way to see Joanna Angel get fucked in the ass on the set of her newest film, Joanna's Angels 2, I was accosted and searched by two policemen on a sidewalk in Brooklyn. They said they noticed something hooked to my pants pocket they believed was a knife. I laughed in their stupid cop faces and lifted my jacket to reveal I had two pens clipped to my pocket. I've been watching the US TV series Lucifer mostly out of morbid curiosity and enjoyment in Tom Ellis's very captivating, highly charismatic, and very OTT portrayal of the name character. The portrayal of Lucifer as a vain and irresistable figure who has no desire to go back to Hell is true to the comics, but the decision to make this into a (buddy) cop series troubled me. But I decided to give it a chance. Okay, in some episodes it was enjoyably bad: Tom Ellis totally chews scenery and...

Been a while. I keep forgetting. I meant to. And the wind changed suddenly and my hands are all slippy when sweaty. I've missed a couple of therapy sessions, but on the other side, the girlfriend and I have been quite civil for the most part. Lessons in basic human interaction would still do us both good, but at least we've both been generally happy. I guess. Gittammit. It's always 'I guess', I guess. I've been trying to get on some charity couples counselling scheme, but they're overbooked and...

Not this kind of nude, silly! Lately I have spent not one visit, but many visits to Sephora and other beauty emporiums trying to find the perfect nude.  Does anyone else out there notice how many ugly, deeply unflattering nude lipsticks there are?  It's particularly confounding since you see almost every model and actress in every ad wearing the same pinkish nude lip but you try to find that color and it DOES NOT EXIST.  Is this a conspiracy?  Where are all those women getting their perfect...

A journey to a healthier life. -

I've never, ever, ever have liked running. Never. In fact, I even remember my gym class teacher once telling me that I couldn't run. Like that was a hard fact that couldn't be changed. At least after then, I've never even tried jogging. This autumn I've taken a project to start living at least a little bit healthier. So, as a part of my project, I went walking (speed-walking, you might say) around two weeks ago, for the first time in an extremely long time. I didn't go alone, no, I had my iPod...
