Fitting the route in which the rug will be set out. If there is a walls in the space with a window that lets in a lot of mild, you would be better recommended to put the panel in the other of the mild. Putting a rug first with one of the sides in contact with the side walls and the nearby walls. Place nasty spacers between the forums and the walls. These areas will be eliminated once you are done and they provide area to flourish the panel every now and then. When suitable the panel, make sure...

All through my life, one of the very common philosophical and/or religious questions that keeps repeating itself is that of fate. Lately I've been thinking about it, so I thought I'd write down a thought or two. The general idea of fate is that people believe that all or part of the events in our lives are preordained , or determined to happen beforehand, and that the choices we make in some of the crossroads of our lives are in fact so far away from random that they are the only possible ones...

on my way to nyc last november, i realized a long awaited dream of mine. visiting iceland had been on the list of to-dos for years, and the opportunity presented itself almost accidentally. friends were heading over to airwaves festival in reykjavik and offered their couch for me to crash on on my way. the layover on icelandair costs no extra, so well, why the hell not. the festival packs the city with music fans from all over the world, and therefore my experience probably wasn't the most...

UGG Boots are huge! Since the 1990s these comfortable sheepskin boots have become insanely popular, partly due to some high-profile publicity from celebrities such as Oprah Winfrey and Sarah Jessica Parker. They have invaded the world market and the company's profits have seen more than a 50-fold increase since 1995. There are many sources for UGG Boots, and buyers are advised to shop around for the cheapest prices. Don't be satisfied with the first offer you see; check several stockists for...

Got the newspaper delivery job. After the interview, I don't think I could not have gotten it. Not that it was a proper job interview at all. I went in and the interviewer asked me to fill a contact form while she did some work (I was early. As always.). Then she came back, I had the form filled and she barely pauses to apologise that it took a while before she launches into explaining a route they had picked out for me already.. Too bad I had to tell her then, that in order for me to get my...

Carne is Eddie Hackett’s last design, and many consider it to be his best. Hackett himself stated that if ever God intendednany piece of land to be a golf course, it is Carne. And it is truly a dramatic piece of land. The first nine holes of Carne Links were opened in 1992 and the following year a second nine was added. It is hard to believe that golf has been played here for only 15 years. Wonder back in my memories to this links course, the first thing I remember is the nature: the...

I've been watching the US TV series Lucifer mostly out of morbid curiosity and enjoyment in Tom Ellis's very captivating, highly charismatic, and very OTT portrayal of the name character. The portrayal of Lucifer as a vain and irresistable figure who has no desire to go back to Hell is true to the comics, but the decision to make this into a (buddy) cop series troubled me. But I decided to give it a chance. Okay, in some episodes it was enjoyably bad: Tom Ellis totally chews scenery and...

Aatosekonomi -

The UK and US Treasuries succumbed to taxpayer populism and set too demanding conditions on the preference shares acquired in the partially or wholly socialized banks so that the banks would concentrate on purchasing the stakes held by the governments and that the taxpayers’ funds would be reimbursed without losses. A 10 percent dividend yield on such shares is well above any long-term real rate of return on equities. Therefore the banks will maintain the present high margins on their lending...

“There is only one route for the euro, towards 1.08 in the US dollars by the end of this year and towards the eventual parity in 2011”, forecast an expert in a TV interview during the heydays of the euro crisis in the beginning of June 2010. The actual exchange rate was then 1.20 US dollars per euro. Only two years before, in May 2008, when the euro hovered at 1.55, another currency strategist forecast: “there is only one route for the US dollar, towards 1.70 by the year end”...

The sun stays up in the sky amongst the white, puffy clouds and brushes everything golden yellow. On Sunday, I decided to go out, although weather was really foggy and a bit damp. I wanted to test the elevation measuring in the GPS device, so I headed to the highest hill around, Jouppilanvuori. It's a man made hill and is a downhill skiing center in winter. There is a proper road to the top on the other side, but I decided to take the footpath on the north side, which I hadn't checked before. You can see it in the photo, going right in front of the tall fir trees. This is the back side of...

I have been using a Sigma 800 odometer for measuring cycling distances and an Excel table to keep track of them plus maximum and average speeds. However, there is a device that can do all that and more automatically and it's called Garmin Edge 200. It's a GPS device that records speed, distance, average speed, maximum speed and changes in elevation while also keeping track of your route. When you upload the data to the Garmin Connect site, you can view your route on a map or a satellite photo...

Torstaina startattiin suht aikaisin suihkulla ja aamiaisella. Määränpäänä San Francisco, reittinä (ainakin osittain) Highway 1 eli California State Route 1 eli Pacific Coast Highway, miksi sitä haluatkaan kutsua.

Aluksi lensimme Berliinin kautta New Yorkiin, missä viivyimme kolme yötä. Sen jälkeen lähdimme matkaan vuokraamallamme Chevrolet-merkkisellä henkilöautolla. Pähkinän kuoreen kiteytettynä matkamme oli seuraavanlainen: New Yorkista ajoimme Niagaran putouksille, mistä suunnistimme Chicagoon. Chicagosta jatkoimme matkaa Amerikan Äititietä, Route 66, pitkin osavaltiosta toiseen. Arizonassa jätimme...

There are 5 routes to Reno from Yosemite. Tioga Pass Road being the most famous one.  Caltrans  website became very familiar to us as we constantly monitored which one of the four closed ones might open just for our trip. Tioga Pass  was also the highest point so it was not likely to open during our visit. However, some of the others (State Routes 108, 4, and 88) had a good chance of being opened. Especially State Route 88 was just about to be opened. To our disappointment, even 88 was open...

Paljon pelissä -

In the last two days I have chosen a new route for my evening bicycling. This route is otherwise quite pleasant, but it goes a couple of kilometers in a road where cars drive with a great speed. The road is named Lapinkyläntie, and it goes from Kauklahti to Veikkola. Fortunately, in the time when I cycle there, the traffic is not very heavy. Normally, I have my earphones and the radio with me. It was funny when today I did not have the radio with me because of the batteries were low, but...

A journey to a healthier life. -

I've never, ever, ever have liked running. Never. In fact, I even remember my gym class teacher once telling me that I couldn't run. Like that was a hard fact that couldn't be changed. At least after then, I've never even tried jogging. This autumn I've taken a project to start living at least a little bit healthier. So, as a part of my project, I went walking (speed-walking, you might say) around two weeks ago, for the first time in an extremely long time. I didn't go alone, no, I had my iPod...

On Sunday we made a trip once again to the nearby valencian pueblos (it's amazing what kind of nature and climbing possibilities you can find that close). We went there with two cars. We were Fernando, Joel (esp) and I in one, and Stephane (fra), Titus, Peter (hol), Robert (ger) and Anja (pol) in the other. We left as early as we could, at 8, because it was going to be a very hot day. Buñol, the pueblo famous for its tomato fiesta Tomatina , offers a luxurious climbing valley just a twenty...

I have finally recovered from the farewell party on tuesday, I will never drink alcohol again. I don´t know how it ended like this, the evening itself was very funny! Well, I did not manage to go to work on wednesday, but since it was my optional week at the rheumatology and my job was to listen and watch, I suppose it wasn´t that terrible. So, now that I have recovered and emptied my room in Lucerne, I was able to plan some more and was at first thinking of going to Geneve, but the weather...

What always stops me is the fact that I realize that I do not understand things fully. That happened to me today again. I listened a lecture about comperative regional analysis and I saw a paradox of a sales person, who is about to visit number of cities. The point was that he has to visit all those places and travel as little as possible. In other words, optimatize the route and you will have the right the right answer. Sounds easy. For exaple, the optimal routing for 24 978 cities of Sweden...

I'm probably moving my office to be above the garage. In preparation for that, I did the whole "get CAT6 networking to the new location" thing, which has involved re-acquainting myself with our crawlspace. Spending my days crawling around, hoping I'm not going to encounter any dead mice (or live ones, for that matter). I obviously already had cable going to various locations in the house, but the way that had happened, I'd done them one at a time, and my current office ended up being the hub...

If you want to experience Finland at it's rawest and fullest, a trip to central Finland is a necessity. Nowhere is the nature as beatiful and untouched and the sunsets over the numerous lakes as breathtaking. If you are able to befriend a Finn with a summer cottage on the lake, I strongly recommend you to enjoy his hospitality and go live the Finnish midsummer at its finest...
